How do I schedule a private lesson? |
Fill out the contact form and I will get with you to set a date and time, and discuss pricing. |
Is this class for men and women, and can a youth participate? |
Yes, but the youth must be 16 years of age or older and a parent must be present at all times. |
Will you teach two shooters at the same lesson? |
Yes, but no more than two. |
What will you teach me as a beginner? |
Safety, first and foremost. You will learn the basics necessary that help you to become a good shooter. Grip, stance, sight alignment, sight picture and trigger press are all parts of the basics you will learn. Also, what pistol would be best for you and how to choose one. This will take more than one lesson. |
How long is the lesson and how much do you charge? |
Generally 2 hours. Pricing depends on services - contact me for details. |
What do you offer in your instruction for the intermediate shooter? |
Safety, first and foremost. We will go over making sure you are doing the basics in the correct way. Working and drawing from a holster if you desire to learn this. Also, shooting around and behind barriers, Shooting on the move, accuracy drills, malfunctions and more as you are ready. This will take more than one lesson. |
Can you help people work around physical limitations or ailments? |
Certainly. |
Where are the lessons held? |
The location varies, depending on the time of year. From October through February we are at Discount Guns in Springville, Utah. |
Do you have equipment to borrow? |
Yes, pistol rental is $10.00 for each pistol used (some students like to try more than one pistol). I do not sell or provide ammunition. |
What should I bring to the lesson? |
Hearing protection (preferably electronic ear muffs), eye protection (glasses that wrap around your eyes), pistol (if you have one), ammunition to fit your pistol, fluids and snacks. Please contact me with questions or for more information. |
