MISSION STATEMENT
To educate, instruct and instill the basics of safe and accurate pistol shooting skills in the minds and actions of shooters so that they are confident when handling and firing a pistol. I am committed to providing the support my students need as they continue on their shooting journey.
Coni Brooks - Instructor
I am a proficient pistol, rifle, shotgun shooter and hunter. I am very fortunate to have hunted numerous places around the world and in 25 different states. My experiences with hunting are treasured ones and I am grateful for them. Simply put – I love the outdoors. My husband and I owned Barnes Bullets for over 35 years. We sold the business in January of 2010 and stayed on for several years to help with the transition. As the years went by, I had more free time to pursue other interests. I knew I wanted to do something that kept me connected to the shooting industry so I worked at developing my pistol shooting skills and traveled the country to attend as many classes as I possibly could. I even participated in some pistol and 3-Gun matches - something I never saw myself doing but grew to really enjoy it! I became a member of the A Girl & A Gun (AG & AG) organization. AG & AG was key in helping me to discover the things I wanted to accomplish with my shooting. Over time, the Central Utah chapter of AG & AG was created with me as the facilitator. I jumped in head-first and went all in! It is a fantastic organization that gets women shooting without the fear of pressure or judgement. My goal as an instructor is to insure to the very best of my ability that my students feel safe and confident when handling and shooting a pistol. I teach them skills that instill confidence and competence to protect themselves and others if necessary.
